Less people travelling abroad more visiting from abroad

New figures released by the Office of National Statistics today suggest that Britain’s are preferring to holiday at home.
More than 6 million fewer trips were taken in the year to May 2009 with continental Europe being the hardest hit and visits abroad falling for the first time since 2001.
Meanwhile visitors to the UK were up 3 per cent in the last quarter with spending up 6 per cent to £4.1b
