Local tourist boards get the thumbs up in the Twitter stakes

Both of the areas tourist boards get a mention in the Times’ twitter report on UK tourist boards out today.

Cumbria Tourism’s enthusiasm for the region really bubbles through there, as the team excitedly Tweet about cycle festivals, ale trails, fell walks and garden festivals. The official website (www.golakes.co.uk) is also good.

Celebrating all that is great about Lancashire, from a dance festival at Blackpool and Ken Dodd at Morecambe to classic walks such as the West Craven Way and more cute animals – this time it’s live footage of ducklings hatching at Martin Mere.
